DiscoverBrands in partnership with Funzi Kinazini Day Safari have organized a Beach Clean-up, Mangrove tree planting and a Dhow excursion to celebrate the World Environment Day 2023 to be held on 5 th June 2023 at Bodo Village and Kinazini Island. Our lineup of activities to celebrate this important day will include:
1.Introductions and a brief on environmental best practices.
2. Mangrove planting ( we aim to plant a minimum of 500 mangrove seedlings )
3. Beach Clean up ( collection of waste plastics and debris on Bodo and Kinazini Beaches )
4. Dhow and Boat Cruise with free snacks and fresh juice on Kinazini Island.
5. HD Video, pictures and interviews recordings for environmentally related content.
It is with this regard that we take this opportunity to invite you to celebrate this occassion with us. Exclusive high definition video and photographic content will be collected by our team of professional videographers and drone pilots. The content will be shared with all participating partners. Kindly come with branded t-shirts of your organizations. DiscoverBrands participated at the Pre World Environment Day 2023 preparation meeting for Kenya led by UNEP and UNESCO on UNEP requested our organization to register our activities/event (solo or in partnership) in the 50th Anniversary WED 2023 UNEP platform. N.B. For awareness purposes, UNEP and partners will publicize our activities on their global digital platforms for the world to see, through the hashtag #BeatPlasticPollution. Due to Dhow transport logistics, we can cater for a maximum of 30 participants only, hence the limited invitation slots. PET plastic bottles are not allowed. Kindly carry refillable water bottle. Participants are also allowed to carry their own drinks and snacks.
